Bajaj to sue TVS on Patent Breach

Bajaj Auto Limited has alleged that the new bike Flame from TVS Motor stable, to be launched in October 2007, uses its patented DTSi technology.

Bajaj Auto has decided to sue TVS Motor for infringement of its patented engine technology. TVS had unveiled seven new upcoming products, including a new 125cc bike, Flame on 30th September 2007. The digital twin spark technology or DTSi is said to be used by Flame which has been patented in 2006 under Bajaj Auto for its motor bikes. However, media reports say that TVS has denied the allegations.
