International B-Schools eye Indian mid-career Students
Leading international business schools like Duke CE, Harvard, Garvin School, ESCP-EAP European School of Management, University of Texas at Austin-McCombs and Thunderbird School of Global Management are reportedly looking keenly at enrolling Indian students, especially those wanting to pursue mid-career executive programmes.
Most of these B-Schools are looking at companies to offer customised programmes or joint programmes with premier management institutes in India such as IIM-Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Kolkata, ISB-Hyderabad and MDI Gurgaon.
ESCP-EAP European School of Management has five campuses abroad and now plans to launch customised education programmes and offer open enrolment programmes in India. The institute may also tie-up with SAIL and Maruti to offer customised executive education programme.
ESCP-EAP European School of Management is set to offer a short-term executive education programme for a corporate house and test the market here. Currently, this B-School has Indian students in its MEB programme.
Many foreign B-Schools are also approaching Indian counterparts like IIM-Kolkata and IIM-Ahmedabad to offer joint programs.
While IIM-Kolkata does not plan to come up with joint programmes, IIM-Ahmedabad already has joint programme with Duke CE.
The institute is also talking to other foreign business schools for other joint programs.
